Overview

Verathon® is looking for a Vice President, Commercial Operations EMEA to become the newest member of our ELT Team located in Amsterdam, Netherlands.

 

The Vice President, Commercial Operations EMEA is responsible for development and execution of Verathon’s EMEA commercial strategy and driving strong commercial success year over year.  The ideal candidate is a driven, strategic and energetic leader with proven experience building strong commercial organizations, developing/executing long-term strategic plans and driving sustainable financial growth year over year.  The ideal candidate will also be based in Europe and able to spend up to 25% of their time in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, where our international headquarters office is based. 

Responsibilities

  • Deliver against EMEA revenue target (quota) for full range of products for the year
  • Lead strategic initiatives to optimize the EMEA Commercial organization
  • Develop and improve upon processes to improve the consistency of sales performance and customer service
  • Build strategic plan to increase market penetration and accelerated growth in EMEA
  • Assess the current go-to-market strategy for opportunities to optimize the business
  • Ensure the proper direct vs. distributor sales strategies are operationalized on a market-by-market basis
  • Provide leadership, ongoing development, and mentoring to attract, retain, and motivate a world-class sales organization
  • Organize and lead cross-functional EMEA leadership council consisting of both direct and indirect reports in leadership functions within EMEA
  • Serve as the strategic voice of the EMEA commercial organization and customers during portfolio management and product development processes
  • Promote a culture of commercial excellence, including engagement, teamwork, strong performance, integrity, and accountability
  • Partner with other members of the Verathon leadership team to ensure strong cross-functional alignment and collaboration to deliver results
  • Embrace and advocate Verathon Values and Leadership Principles
  • Based on previous experience, EMEA Marketing may directly report to this role

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, Sciences, or Marketing is required; MBA or graduate degree in Business preferred
  • 10+ years of Commercial leadership experience within the medical device industry, preferably in respiratory, anesthesiology, surgery, urology, or cardiology
  • Proven track record of exceeding revenue performance over sustained period
  • Experience working for a U.S. headquartered company highly preferred
  • Must be fluent in English; proficient in either French or German are preferred
  • Ability to work effectively within a matrixed organization
  • Previous marketing experience, including leadership of marketing teams, preferred
  • Inspirational leader who is effective at influencing through engagement, teamwork and passion rather than authority
