Overview

Verathon® is looking for a  Sr. Accounts Receivable Specialist to become the newest member of our Finance/Accounting Team located in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. The  Sr. Accounts Receivable Specialist is responsible for supporting all finance and accounting related activities, as directed (French Market)

Responsibilities

Principal Responsibilities:

·       Serve as a main point of contact for accounts receivables as well as credit & collections

·       Maintain consistent and accurate “past due” reporting at all levels from customer level to regional and sub business level

·       Serve as the dispute coordinator for the EMEA region to drive early awareness

·       Resolves all customer disputes relating to “Past Due”

·       Partner with the management team to help them evaluate risk on all new opportunities including credit limits, payment terms and conditions

·       Monitor “Past Due” situation and coordinate action in partnership with key stakeholders like pre-warning sales, blocking accounts, payment plans

·       Coordinate the approval flow of Credit Memos

·       Identify areas for improvement in the Accounts Receivable and Credit & Collections reporting process and tools

·       Initiate and realize improvement projects

·       Handle all mail for the Verathon EMEA Headquarters

·       Ensure adherence to Roper’s Code of Ethics, compliance initiatives, workplace harassment and technology and privacy guidelines

Qualifications

·       Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Accounting 

·       Typically requires a minimum of 2 - 4 years of related accounting and finance experience in a similar role in a multi-national; FMCG, consumer electronics, medical devices, pharmaceutical or capital equipment organization is preferred

·       French (Fluent) and English (Professional)

·       Experience working for a U.S. based manufacturing company preferred

·       Demonstrates a track record in completing basic tasks within a finance and accounting function

·       Knowledge and understanding of financial key figures and the correlation with management control

·       Experience in using controlling tools, processes, and management information systems

·       Solid verbal and written communication skills

·       Communicate with stakeholders at all levels and good presentation skills

·       Strong interpersonal skills, with ability to work independently, as well as part of a team

·       Ability to build trust and interact with people from different cultural backgrounds

·       Comfortable with having to adjust to changes in work environment

·       Work under pressure with a sense of urgency to meet tight deadlines

·       Adept at prioritizing work and coordinating tasks simultaneously

·       Ability to develop strong partnerships with all functional areas

·       Must be able to work independently and with limited direction upon occasion

·       Self-dependent working style and good organizational skills

·       Ability to work on priorities. Ability to define, plan and work according to deadlines

·       Strong attention to detail, accurate, organized, and structured, but also flexible

·       Ability to produce summary, management-level reports, and detailed reports
