Verathon® is looking for a swing shift Production Lead to become the newest member of our Operations located in Burnaby, British Columbia.
The Production Lead is responsible for providing leadership and guidance to staff with respect to duties and responsibilities and helping facilitate consistent communication to ensure the Production Team can make well informed decisions. This position is on the swing shift Monday through Friday 3:30pm to 12:00am.
• Working hours are swing shift Monday through Friday 3:30pm to 12:00am
• Ensure the Production areas are maintained in an organized and tidy manner
• Ensure consistent professional communications with all VMCA team members
• Support VMCA’s Quality Management System that establishes and maintains effective quality assurance processes and compliance to the International Standards: ISO13485, Canadian Medical Device Regulations (CMDR, SOR 98-292), FDA Quality System Regulations (QSR, 21 CFR Part 820) and the Medical Device Directive (MDD93/42/EEC)
• Assist with the training of new and current employees on procedures and Acceptance Test Procedures (ATPs)
• Document the training to meet quality regulations
• Work with Production Manager to prioritize the production build schedule
• Assist in maintaining individual and departmental productivity standards
• Monitor product quality and ensure proper documentation
• Assist in processes to improve productivity (i.e. flexible manufacturing)
• Assist in resolving manufacturing problems (i.e. labor standards, line balancing)
• Maintain and order shop supplies; receive production materials and coordinate distribution with Production team
• Assist Production Manager in implementing Lean Manufacturing
• Assemble and test products as per documented procedures
• Responsible for learning new assignments quickly and effectively
• Work on other projects and tasks as required

• 6+ years of experience in manufacturing environment
• Strong supervisory, leadership and organizational skills
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills
• The ability to work well individually and in a team environment
• Ability to read and follow procedures
• Ability to meet required deadlines
• Demonstrated detail and organizational skills
• Working knowledge of MS Office software and ability to quickly learn new software
• Familiarity with common computer applications including MRP & ERP
• Knowledge and skill in Lean Manufacturing Techniques a benefit
• Level 1 First Aid a benefit (willing to train)
• Ability to lift 20-50 lbs., as needed
