Overview

Verathon® is looking for an Operations Manager to become the newest member of our Operations located in our Amsterdam, Netherlands office.
The Operations Manager is responsible for leadership and day-to-day hands-on activities of all Warehousing, Receiving, Shipping, Logistics and our Technical Service repair business.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for general managerial duties including development and implementation of procedures, staffing, cross-training, and work assignments.  Provide direction, supervision, and oversight of daily tasks carried out by Materials and Technical Service teams.
• Monitor and report performance against established metrics
• Establish departmental goals and objectives that provide world-class materials performance to the organization
• Manage inventory accuracy, inventory data integrity, inventory value minimization, and cycle count program achievement 
• Manage maintenance of Lean materials practices throughout the organization and make recommendations for improvements as required
• Maintain warehouse movement and workflow
• Analyze reports, KPI’s, and external benchmarks to identify opportunities for continue improvement
• Communicate and correct backlog issues with internal staff as necessary
• Ensure all customer orders are appropriately packaged and shipped promptly, accurately, and with all necessary documentation
• Ensure all materials are received and processed accurately within 24 hours
• Develop risk management programs to ensure continuity of supply
• Transact Service parts inventory adjustments
• Assist with Service loan unit allocation and retrieval
• Ensure adherence to Roper’s Code of Ethics, Compliance initiatives, Workplace Harassment and Technology & Privacy guidelines
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree (BA, BS) is required
• 5+ years of related experience with people management.  Proven track record of achievements, preferably in a medical device organization 
• ISM or APICS Certification preferred
• Knowledge of ISO 13458 compliance requirements preferred
• Knowledge of LEAN Materials practices
• MRP and ERP knowledge preferred
• Sound problem-solving and analytical capabilities
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Detail oriented with good interpersonal and organizational skills
• Ability to understand drawings and critical dimensions
• Ability to read, write, and follow procedures
• Proficient user of MS and MS Office programs 
• Knowledge of FDA, NAFTA, and HTS Codes preferred
